Half-way from Siena and the coast, the region of Montieri is easy to reach both by car and with public transportation.
Along the coast-side:
By car: E80 up to Follonica Est, then SR439 until Montieri.
By train: travel up to the station of Follonica, continue by car or bus.
By bus: from Follonica to Montieri (info: www.tiemmespa.it).
From the inland:
By car: take the Strada Statale 73 Senese Aretina (Siena) and follow the sign to Grosseto-Follonica. From Volterra: SR68 up to Casole d´Elsa and continue on the SP28 following the sign to Montieri.
Next train stations: Grosseto, Poggibonsi, Siena; from here continue by bus or car.
By bus: www.trainspa.it.
